The Money Shot is an acid-tongued showbiz satire that pits truth and intelligence against popularity and wealth in an ever more desperate struggle to remain relative and famous in the battle trenches of LA.
Directed by the hilarious David C Jones, The Money Shot is about Steve, played by Michael Patrick Denis, an aging action star whose movies don't make the same dent at the box office as they once did, and his inappropriately young wife Missy, played by Vivian Tang, who go to dinner to discuss a very sensitive proposal. Their hosts are Steve's costar Karen, whose career is fading, played by Kate Isaac and her girlfriend Bev, a highly educated and hyper-defensive academic, played by Lara Amelie Abadir.
LaBute's comedy rips through the couples as they jostle and position themselves to do the unthinkable in order to regain their fading fame despite the cost to their dignity and relationships.
