HELLO BLUE ROSES
Hello Bue Roses was formed in 2005 by Sydney Hermant and her partner Dan Bejar and houses Hermant's written and recorded song work. Their debut full length came out in 2008 called The Portrait is Finished and I Have Failed to Capture Your Beauty on Locust Records, followed by 2015's WZO on JAZ Records. With a third on the way on JAZ, the fluid nature of HBR features Hermant establishing her own ground as a solo performer, singing, and playing guitar and flute, with the support of looping pedals and washy amps, and the occasional friend. HBR's sound meshes the femme psych rock of Portrait and the experimental pop of WZO with intimations of minimal electronic art and rock.
