After a long dark winter, one longs for the scent of earth and new growth…
Please join us for two new world premieres:
Night Sonnets | An excavation of luminous fragments scored for voice, reader, and string quartet. Songs of origin, exile, wonder, and farewell. Many of the texts were newly written for this composition; several are drawn from Browne’s collection, The Hatch.
Petal | A dramatic new composition for string quartet and soprano that that tracks the transcendent journey of the psyche as it reconstitutes itself from a single cell into the terrestrial body of love and grief. The history of the universe, re-discovered in every moment, summoning light.
