Collaboration allows us to reach out to other artists, other sectors, and other cultural groups to form connections and learn the best practices we can offer each other. But collaboration for its own sake is not enough: how do we choose the right partners? How do we navigate the process of creating together when we may have different mandates, skill sets, or even world views? How do we work together to form collaborations that are meaningful, innovative, and unrestricted?
Unrestricted is a two-day conference, June 13-14 at the BMO Theatre Centre in Vancouver, that explores connections without restriction. We'll look at successful partnerships between the arts, culture and heritage sector and the worlds of tech, health, and academia. We'll examine collaboration that champions inclusivity and reconciliation, as well as explore the future of arts funding, innovative approaches to artistic practice, mentorship, healthy workplaces and more - everything you need to lay the foundation for collaboration.
BC Alliance and GVPTA members register at discounted rates. Register by May 22 to receive a special early bird rate. Groups of three or more attendees from any organization receive a group discount.
