Punk fans rejoiced when Brody Dalle confirmed the return of the band earlier this year and confirmed that the line-up features all of the members at the time of their last release ‘Coral Fang’ in 2003 – with Brody Dalle, Tony Bevilacqua, Andy Granelli and Ryan Sinn. The band has announced a Vancouver date on September 10 at the Commodore Ballroom. Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 1 at 10am.
The Distillers were at the forefront of the California punk scene at the turn of the century, releasing three acclaimed and highly influential albums between 2000 and 2003. They announced their split in 2006 following the departure of drummer Andy Granelli and bassist Ryan Sinn. Remaining members Dalle and Tony Bevilacqua then went on to form Spinerette, before Dalle later launched a successful solo career with the acclaimed album ‘Diploid Love‘.
