Trio Performance & Electronics Erato Ensemble with Artists in Residence Jeff Pelletier (Flute), Eva Ribchinsky (Cello), & Michael Park (Piano).
This trio performance is based on the study of music psychology. It combines both psychological and musicological concepts and aims to trigger specific human emotions in the listener. While attempting to portray the auditory world of mental illness and health, as well as how music can be used as a healing tool, Black Onyx seeks to demonstrate the positive and the negative effects of music and sound on our brains.
Presented by the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts.
