She then took the opportunity to be part of the opening team of The Flying Pig Yaletown and Gastown. Recently Danvee has joined the culinary teams as sous chef at Torafuku and Royal Dinette. She loves cooking foods that are nostalgic to her, such as flavours reminiscent of growing up in Hong Kong. Or, her first trip to Japan with family, where the aromas of dashi and grilled fish filled the hallway every morning. These are a few things that contributed to her style of cooking and passion for food.
This pop-up style restaurant series will showcase VCC alumni chefs and support current and future students. A portion of all ticket sales will go towards scholarships and bursaries for culinary arts students.
