They are both sought-after musicians who have performed around the world, and are now ready to call Vancouver home.
They will perform two afternoon concerts in two cozy living rooms, one in North Vancouver (Upper Lynn Valley) and one at UBC. Wine and snacks are included in the ticket purchase!
Their program, themed "Music from the Heart", is highly lyrical and emotional. Highlights of the program include Robert Schumann’s heart-felt Three Fantasy Pieces for Cello and Piano, transcriptions of two songs from Schubert’s haunting song cycle Winterreise, and the Canadian premiere of Chinese contemporary composer Weijie Gao's piece Longing for Shu, which was specially commissioned by the two performers!
3:00pm - 4:00pm: Performance, with brief spoken introductions for each piece
4:00pm - 5:00pm: Mingling over complimentary wine and snacks
