A young man, whilst consuming his third The Donut Mill doughnut of that particular The Donut Mill stop, spotted a label that would change his life, and the lives of those around him

Vancouver, The Regal Beagle Vancouver
It began in Red Deer, Canada. 'Cross the snow dusted Queen Elizabeth II Highway, nestled comfortably amongst the outlet stores, gun shops, and McDonald's franchises of Gasoline Alley, the sun broke the clouded Alberta sky to reveal the name of all names: Holiday Liquor.
The rest, as they say, is history.

The Fourth of October came, and then it went. The gathered gaggle of the night consumed and consumed, perhaps abusively but certainly with joy, as they took in the wonders of friendship and low-mid alternative country. It was a hard-fought battle for the old Beagle, but despite the pure and unadulterated carnage remaining from the performance, she remains on her sturdy feet with gloves again raised.
From this destruction and slew of missing patch cables, the group of friends (do you remember them?) who met in the beginning close in on a special anniversary. It began on the First of January with a collective promise that has been realised today, and today they sit together on the eve of a holiday season and the inevitable new year. It is a moment that calls for pensive reflection, cold beer, and two-for-one pasta for just eighteen dollars on Mondays. And that gang, that collective of misfits and oddballs, will gather once more on the First of January at the Regal Beagle to fuel their alcohol-induced pain with alcohol and the love of those around them.
