Their subject is the “madman” who has moved into the upstairs apartment of Christoph’s Vienna home. Through a touching correspondence dramatically underscored with the composer’s most beautiful excerpts, Christoph comes to understand the genius of Beethoven, the beauty of his music, and the torment of his deafness.
Kids' Koncerts are concerts for children four to eleven years of age and their families in five fun and educational musical presentations. The Kids’ Koncerts series features the full orchestra and the very best in children’s musical entertainers. An Instrument Fairs begins one hour before each concert in the Orpheum lobby. Children can touch and play real orchestral instruments generously provided by Tom Lee Music.

Come early to enjoy an instrument petting zoo hosted by the VSO’s Education department. The Instrument Fair allows kids to touch and play real orchestra instruments in the Orpheum lobby starting at 1pm. All instruments are generously provided by Tom Lee Music.
