Ayla Nereo is a singer, songwriter, poet, producer, and warrior for the light. Known for intricate lyrics, enchantingly vocal melodies, and fingerpicking guitar tunes that harken to a timeless era, Ayla melds many genres weaving in vocal looping, beats, percussion, orchestral string arrangements, Celtic melodies, and even dashes of hip-hop wordplay.

The musical genius of Ayla Nereo is entirely awe-inspiring. With soaring vocals and music that is truly rooted in the earth while floating skyward, her unique artistry has a profound impact and creates tangibly potent energy in a live setting. Ayla uses her lyrical mastery to paint poetry across a canvas of sound, armed with an array of loop-pedals, building layer upon layer of vocal melodies into sweeping harmonies woven with live instruments and electronic production. Her outstanding stage performances engage audiences as she infuses her sound with inspired movement.

Born in Sonoma County, CA, Nereo was unschooled until the age of 13, spending her childhood outside fostering her creativity, wonder and connection to magic. Raised on Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Dylan, Beatles, with a deep love of classical music, Ayla began her music career after graduating from Stanford.

Ayla is selling out in advance in markets across the West Coast and is growing nationwide with 400,000+ Spotify streams per month, pushing into Europe and beyond. Her songwriting and voice-opening workshop offerings are also blossoming across the globe, and highly requested in areas she tours through. She has both online and in person offerings available.

Ayla released her 5th solo album, The Code of the Flowers, in 2016 via Jumpsuit Records. To date, Ayla has released 10 albums in total: 5 solo albums, 2 Wildlight albums (the collaboration project of Ayla and electronic music composer David Sugalski, aka The Polish Ambassador), 1 collaboration album with Mr Lif and The Polish Ambassador, and 2 albums with sibling project Beatbeat Whisper. A new release is coming out in early 2019.
