Messiaen described his Quartet for the End of Time as “ Rhythms, modes, rainbows and bridges to the beyond, cast into sonorous space”. Experience the performance and hear the incredible story surrounding its creation and first performance in 1941 in a prisoner-of-war camp, as well as insight into the compositional techniques used.
