NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is brand new space-based telescope that is currently discovering exoplanets in our solar neighbourhood. TESS will identify planets ranging from Earth-sized to gas giants orbiting a wide range of stellar types and has already yielded surprising results.
