The tea ceremony has been an integral part of traditional Japanese culture for ages. Did you know that each tea ceremony is prepared with the best utensils to match each season?
ICHI-GO ICHI-E (一期一会), meaning a cultural concept of treasuring the unrepeatable nature of a moment, will be performed by the Urasenke Tankokai Vancouver Association with grace and beauty. There will be live koto music by Kotone-kai.
As the tea ceremony unfolds, you will be served the highest quality, matcha tea, along with traditional Japanese sweets.
Ceremonies at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
General tickets $8 non-members | $6 members - please present your membership card at the tea ceremony reception
Tickets are available online until the online portion is sold out. Limited tickets are also available at the door on the day of the event.
