Topic include hatchery roles, fish identification, fish handling, tackle, rod rigging, casting, and hands-on fishing. Rapala rods are provided and programs run rain or shine. Must pre-register. Meet at the dock on Sanctuary Pond in Hastings Park (north end of the pond).
This is a Vancouver Park Board Program operated in partnership with the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC for youth ages 5-12 with an accompanying adult.
Free parking available enter through GATE 2 on Renfrew Street. If attendant is on duty tell them you are there for the Learn to Fish program. Please do not park at Hastings Community Centre.
