A gorgeous tea salon, The Urban Tea Merchant is at the forefront of Tea Gastronomy in Vancouver. Join us for a sumptuous four-course tea-pairing menu – including a guided tea tasting with their in-house certified Tea Sommelier.
The Urban Tea Merchant Menu:
Welcome Drink: “Singapore Breakfast Tea” Mocktail
1st Course: “Imperial Keemun” encrusted Tuna Tataki, Wasabi Aioli, Yuzu Gel, Ponzu, Dried Mandarin Segments. Paired with 1837 Black Tea
2nd Course: Roma Tomatoes, Smoked Bocconcini, Dehydrated Olives, Balsamic Pearls, Basil Aioli, “Sencha China” Salt. Paired with Sencha Meicha
3rd Course: Miso Maple Sablefish, Tri-Color Quinoa, Scallions, Dehydrated Tomato, “1837 Green Tea Oil” Paired with Milk Oolong
4th Course: “Chocolate Mint Truffle Tea” Creme Brûlée, Caramelized Banana and Dried Raspberries Paired with Red Balloon Tea
The Urban Tea Merchant’s Tea Sommelier, Reza Nasooti, will offer an interactive presentation on each of the teas being paired with the courses, a brief introduction on the history of tea and tea varieties. We will also be joined by ISF festival artists.
