This one hour walking tour is given by three volunteers who have researched the stories on several interesting early Chinese families buried in the Chinese section of the cemetery.

In 1890, when the City of Vancouver allocated a section at Mountain View Cemetery at the farthest extremity of the grounds southern end for the burial of the Chinese, Japanese and Jewish communities, the Chinese Benevolent Association purchased 31 lots, each containing 16 graves to bury their members.
