Professor Wright argues for a fresh approach to locating Jesus within a Jewish understanding of space, time and history, opening up new possibilities and indicating a surprising convergence between the problems we perceive in the world and the historical investigation of Jesus himself. This generates a new kind of "natural theology," rooted in the biblical tradition but reaching out to embrace the wider world.
