We are moving to Lafarge Lake Park this year; a stone's throw from our old venue, Percy Perry Stadium.The 88th BC Highland Games & Scottish Festival starts on Friday, June 14 with a free evening of live Celtic music on the Ceilidh Stage (bring lawn chairs), open piobaireachd (classical music of the pipes) on the Main Stage, a 10k and 5k Tartan Run, food vendors and maybe a little bit of whisky in our school on the hill.
Saturday is Games Day
On Saturday Games day, tickets will be required, so expect a full day of everything you come to see: pipers, dancers and caber tossers, performance bands, traditional music, tons of interactive Scottish country dancing and lots of British food and vehicles. Kids won't have a chance to slow down with all the activities planned (click HERE for more kids info). There's trees and shade, tons of vendors, pipe band performances, whisky school and lots more to see and do. It's the Games at the End of the Train. Take Skytrain: it stops right at Lafarge Lake. Then listen for the pipes!
