VOC Gospel Choir:
The VOC Gospel Choir is focused on a new and improved, fresh and authentic sound after more than 20 years as a community choir under the direction of Checo Tohomaso. Performing in venues all over the lower mainland for audiences that often number more than one thousand, the 130-member VOC Sweet Soul Gospel Choir has "changed lives" with its energetic, soulful performances. This community choir is guaranteed to have you clap your hands and stomp your feet, dance in the aisles, and bring a smile to your face!
Canto Vivo:
Canto Vivo is the Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre Choir! Their songs that reflect the great diversity of musical genres from all over Latin America. Songs are sung in Spanish and Portuguese. Conductor Sergio Pires is an educator and music researcher who holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts’ degree in Choral Conducting from Boston University and Master’s and Bachelor degrees in music from Brazilian institutions.
