Maya Rae is one of Canada’s Top 35 Jazz Artists Under 35 (CBC)…. “A supremely gifted artist who is able to phrase like Sarah Vaughan but write a lyric like Joni Mitchell.” Maya has performed across Canada and has headlined the Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary Jazz Festivals and Canadian Music Week in 2018. Maya’s debut album, “Sapphire Birds” was released in 2017, and she is currently working on her sophomore album of original music with Steve Dawson in Nashville, Tennessee. Her music conveys messages of authenticity, self-love, hope, and female empowerment.
