AvevA Dese, an Ethiopian-Israeli singer and songwriter, is a rising star in the Israeli music scene whose music fuses traditional Ethiopian sounds and groove with her soul-pop songs, producing an aesthetic with universal appeal. AvevA sings powerfully – in English and Amharic – about society, freedom and love. Combined with traditional Ethiopian sounds, her beautiful voice and charm and a kicking beat, AvevA creates a fascinating intercultural connection ensuring the audience is lifted to their feet in dance.
With her talented band, AvevA has played many of the popular festivals in Israel and venues in France, Germany, England, Canada, Russia, and the United States.
