Scrub up and pull on those rubber gloves as we go behind the scenes at the City Morgue, a place of history, mystery, and scientific stories. The Museum is incredibly proud to be the former home of the City Coroner’s Court and Morgue, and is equally proud to host Dr. Carol Lee, a forensic pathologist at the current morgue with decades of experience bringing knowledge and understanding to some of the most painful tragedies in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Police Museum once again invites you to go “Behind Locked Doors”, the theme of our 4th annual Speaker Series, and tour the history of some of Vancouver’s most fascinating and forbidden locations. From the not-always-polished doors of the Chief Constable’s office to the cells and gallows of old Oakalla prison, let the Vancouver Police Museum be your key to unlocking some of the mysteries of Vancouver’s past.
Dr. Lee will share with us everything you’ve ever wanted to know about autopsies, and introduce you to the deadly-serious work of death investigation. This promises to be a powerful and popular night, and you won’t want to miss this opportunity to go back to the Vancouver Police Museum’s roots!
