Watch new stories unfold in front of your eyes during this creative, side-splitting mashup of books and laughter, as three warm, imaginative YA authors team up with improv comedy group The Fictionals. Audience members will enjoy readings from Aviaq Johnston’s adventure story based on Indigenous mythology, Those Who Dwell Below, spoken word poems from Taran Kootenhayoo, and anecdotes from Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up With Me author, Mariko Tamaki. Then, The Fictionals will create brand new stories for students to enjoy—all the while learning how to use their imagination in new and powerful ways to create ideas right on the spot!
Suitable for grades 8-12 and adults.
