Assel is a jazz vocalist currently based in Vancouver, where she moved to from Kazakhstan 4 years ago to pursue the art of jazz music and improvisation at Capilano University. She has been fascinated with the music of Wayne Shorter ever since she first heard him play Umbria Jazz festival in 2014 duo with none other than Herbie Hancock. Ever since It has been a dream of hers to explore the music of one of the greatest jazz composers alongside her friends and fellow musicians. Come out for an evening of explorations and beautiful music!
