Hosted in tandem with Olivia Whetung’s exhibition Sugarbush Shrapnel, families and individuals are invited to learn about designs, materials and technique of the single-needle beadwork method in these intimate workshops with Algonqiun Anishinaabe beader Melody Markle. After an introduction to Markle’s practice and inspiration, participants will create their own unique beadwork pieces.
Workshops
These events are open to participants aged 10 and above. We welcome participants younger than age 10 to join us for beading activities at our November 30 Family Day.
Workshops are free and all materials are provided. No experience is necessary.
