This event brings together citizens, community groups, businesses, and government agencies to inspire and inform British Columbians to take action and implement solutions in clean energy generation, energy efficiency and conservation, and low carbon transportation. Malcolm Shield will present on Vancouver's Renewable Energy Strategy.
As climate policy manager, Malcolm is responsible for the our renewable energy planning, carbon management, and reporting, as well as the implementation of our decarbonisation strategies. He is also responsible for delivery of the our electric vehicle strategy. The strategy covers an extensive multi-vendor trial of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, key utility and private sector partnerships, public outreach, and building code amendment. Malcolm is a professional engineer, having completed his masters of engineering at Imperial College, London, and has a doctorate at the University of British Columbia.
