Corbin Union is a Vancouver and Calgary-based artist collective that has gathered annually since 2012 to create individual and collaborative works in the context of the deserted East Kootenay coal-mining town of Corbin, BC
Date/Time: Oct 29 2020, 12:00 am to 6:00 pm
Vancouver, Contemporary Art Gallery | Event calendar
Through a range of experimental and interwoven forms, CAG will present a sprawling new installation by core members Miruna Dragan, Jason de Haan and Warren McLachlan. The exhibition will extend the collective’s ongoing, place-based examination of violent (and hidden) histories of resource extraction, environmental destruction, immigrant labour uprisings and their suppression, and the flow of material and populations (both human and not) under the conceptual framework of excavation and entombment.
