It is the accessing of an embodied cognitive state to explore movement and approach performance and technical practice, allowing a more embodied connection to both movement and performance. This work aims for a heightened awareness of the senses that induces both physical control and a freedom of movement, allowing participants to access new territories of physical exploration. It focuses on shutting down the clutter of images and thoughts from the brain and the desire to direct the large muscle groups of the body, and instead focuses on the internal waves and more erratic movement that is present in us all the time.
