Her versatility and steadfast bass playing have taken her from CapU’s Jazz Studies program to stages all over Canada, the USA, China, Spain, France, the UK, Sweden and the Caribbean. This past November, Hodge organized a celebration of the centennial year of Jelly Roll Morton’s 1919 concert at the Patricia Hotel in Vancouver where Jelly Roll lived for a period and was the resident piano player. Revive the spirit of one of the jazz world’s most celebrated pioneers with Jen Hodge and some of Vancouver’s finest traditional jazz artists.
Co-presented with the Vancouver International Children's Festival as part of the Kevin Mooney Fire Hall Concert Series. Free event. Donations welcome for the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.
