Date/Time: Oct 3 2015, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Vancouver, Board of Parks and Recreation Administration Office
The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is housed in the 1962 West Coast Modernist post-and-beam building tucked in the foliage of Stanley Park. Did you know the board oversees almost 300 parks? Well, come visit the board chambers and learn all about the Park Board, including its history, the amazing Park Rangers and how birds play a part in our city and environment.
Vancouver Park Board will be selling hundreds of young trees (3-4 gallon buckets) for private planting to Vancouver citizens at this location. The cost of the trees is at deep discounts at $10.00 each and must have proof of Vancouver residency. The Urban Forestry staff will also be onsite to arrange the delivery of the trees. There will be materials and a possible “how to plant” demo for citizens.
