Vancouver, Fire and Rescue Training Centre
Also known as the Chess Street Training Grounds, this facility is equipped with the City’s only burn-building — a building that can be lit with a controlled burn for fire and rescue training exercises. It’s also the base for Vancouver HUSAR Task Force 1, one of four certified Heavy Urban Search and Rescue Teams in Canada that can be deployed anywhere in the world. Limited capacity tours will be offered every hour on the hour and available on a first come, first serve basis. Check @doorsopenvan on twitter for day-of updates.
