Be among the first to see the newly completed Heritage Campus with the official opening of two relocated heritage buildings.
The Heritage Campus is home to Museum of Surrey, Veterans Square and the Cenotaph, 1912 Hall (home to the Surrey Archives), Cloverdale Library and Anderson Cabin (circa 1872). The relocation and renovation of the 1881 Town Hall and Anniedale School complete the Heritage Campus overhaul. Brief tours of the two heritage buildings will be available to the public.
Both families and local history buffs are invited to enjoy food trucks, crafts, live entertainment, The Re-Enactors and historic Surrey green screen fun. All facilities on the Heritage Campus will be open with actvities for the celebration.
Mayor and Council will begin the event at noon, followed by a welcome from Semiahmoo First Nation Chief Harley Chappell.The first public screening of two short documentaries about the heritage buildings will air in the theatre.
