We have entered into our 23nd season and are very excited about our 23rd corn maze design. The corn maze takes months to plan and weeks to prepare. This living art piece is a labour of love helps us share a new message every year. Having 12 acres to make an impact and create a message is a task we take seriously.
The 23rd Corn Maze design features the word WANDER written in a night sky amongst the mountains that leaves us awestruck every day. Our hope for this year is to ignite an eagerness in children and adults to find the joy around them wherever they are and wherever they go. Our message to the community is that beauty and happiness are all around us if we take the time to look for it. A reminder to stay present as you wander through life.
This year we are proud to feature “The Boy Who Spoke to the Earth” as a walking storyboard in the maze. “The Boy Who Spoke to the Earth” was written by adventure photographer Chris Burkard, and illustrated by Disney Interactive artist David McClellan. It is a beautiful story of a boy looking for happiness and the magic that happens when you take the time to stand still for just a moment.
Every year we change the design of our Corn Maze. It takes weeks of field work to build it and months of discussion to find the inspiration behind the design. Our goal in the creation of each design is to make sure that the message in our field is something positive that would help encourage and spread light throughout our community. “Life is meant for spectacular adventures, let your feet wander, your eyes marvel and your soul ignite”
