As one of the few celebrated festivals devoted to flamenco art outside of Spain, the Vancouver International Flamenco Festival nurtures flamenco’s hybridized roots in Sephardic, Persian, Gypsy and Indian cultures.
Running for over 20 years, VIFF is produced by Flamenco Rosario.
We strive to reflect flamenco’s diverse sociocultural identity through work narratives underlining the form’s universal message of humanistic tolerance.
With this explosive and visceral show, La Otra Orilla returns to the foundations of the art of flamenco.
With our minds on Victor Kolstee’s soul-moving, spirited and beautiful music, and our desire to honour and celebrate his life, Flamenco Rosario presents the works of three Spanish choreographers: Pilar Ogalla, Albert Hernández and Cristina Hall, along with Rosario Ancer’s Solace.
