The next tour features: Lulo Reinhardt, Germany’s Latin Swing master, contemporary classical guitarist Stephanie Jones from Australia, two-hand “tapper” Alexandr Misko from Russia, and Italian jazz guitarist and vocalist Eleanora “Lele” Strino. This show is a celebration of guitar music for new beginnings.

About the musicians:

Stephanie Jones is an active soloist and chamber musician who is currently based in Germany. She has recently finished her Masters and is currently studying a Konzertexamen in Classical Guitar Performance with Thomas Müller-Pering at the prestigious University of Music Franz Liszt.
Stephanie won first prize in both the Uppsala International Guitar Festival Competition and the Hannabach Guitar Competition. She was also a finalist in the Deutscher Gitarrenpries and the Salzburg International Guitar Festival. In 2014, through the Fine Music Network National Competition, Stephanie was awarded the Young Virtuoso of the Year. In 2012, Stephanie competed in the prestigious Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition and subsequently won second prize.
Stephanie has performed extensively around the globe, being invited to a number of festivals and concert series. She has also released two albums, “Colours of Spain” (2015), and “Bach, the Fly, and the Microphone” (2009). Stephanie is also a member of the renowned Weimar Guitar Quartet, this year releasing their debut album. Stephanie is passionate about sharing her music with others and is recognised as an innovative and deeply musical artist.

Alexandr Misko is a dazzling new breed of modern fingerstyle guitarist. The 21-year-old Russian already plays concerts all over the world and has often appeared on television in his homeland and other countries.
With an organic approach, Misko’s work has been viewed over 200 million times on video platforms and has amassed more than 1 million followers of his music. In 2018, Alexandr was named the “Guitarist of the Year” at the prestigious UK Guitar Show. He has played notable concerts with fingerstyle legends including Jon Gomm, Mike Dawes, Luca Stricagnoli and many others in his global tours. Since 2016 he released 3 studio albums and 3 singles and has been actively performing around the globe with solo shows, teaching, recording music, and in October 2018 he received the title “Guitarist of the Year” according to the noticeable UK magazine “MusicRadar”.
A unique style, a very musical and technical presentation, coupled with original works, make Alexandr’s music accessible to any listener. The language of his music is universal and understandable for audiences anywhere in the world.

Eleonora Strino grew up in a creative household. Her father and sister were important painters of figurative art, but music was what attracted Eleanora. She began playing guitar as a teenager, and from the first time she heard Jim Hall playing with Bill Evans she knew she wanted to be a jazz guitarist.
She studied at the conservatory in Naples, then at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam with Martin Van Itterson, Jesse Van Ruller and Maarten Van de Gritten. Eleonora began her professional career as the first guitar in the orchestra of Italian composer Roberto De Simone.
Eleonora is also a composer and an arranger. In October 2019 she won a prize for the best composition at the international competition “Jhonny Radacanu” (Romania) with her song “Senza e Ce Sta’. She was invited to play her music with Milan’s civic jazz band in the beautiful Strehler Theatre.
Eleanora has many current solo projects. She is writing a guitar instruction book for the English publisher Fundamental-Changes called “Be-Bop Scales,” which will be distributed in America. She is also working on her first album as a songwriter, featuring her guitar and voice, and she will be touring North America with International Guitar Night in early 2022. The future is very bright for this multi-talented artist.

Lulo Reinhardt, a name associated with World Music and his patented Latin Swing, is a guitar virtuoso with unmistakable roots
He was born in Koblenz on December 10, 1961 and comes from the famous Reinhardt family. Lulo was raised in the Sinti tradition where Django Reinhardt’s music played a massive part.
When he was five, Lulo was already inspired by his father Bawo Reinhardt’s record collection which included everything from Brazilian guitarist Baden Powell to the Shadows. His father was also his first guitar teacher and his mentor until his death in 2013. Lulo played for twenty years in the family band, The Mike Reinhardt Sextet, starting at twelve as a rhythm guitarist and then later as a bassist until 1993. In 1993, he founded the band I Gitanos together with his father Bawo Reinhardt and Cousin Bavo Dége.
A big dream came true in 2017. Lulo Reinhardt visited Calcutta in India, the origin of the Sinti and Roma. There he recorded ‘Gypsy Meets India’ with his friend Debhashish Bhattacharya and his longtime percussionist Uli Krämer. Also involved were Debhashish Bhattacharya’s brother Subhasis on Tabla and daughter Sukanya on vocals.
A film project planned for 2020 will document the migration of the Sinti and Roma from India. Lulo Reinhardt will retrace the way back to India, to where the migration from the Sindh region (India / Pakistan) originated. A Sinto and a cosmopolitan, Lulo Reinhardt continuously embraces the new and the unknown in his dreams, ideas and plans, so we can expect many exciting projects in the future.

Capacity is currently capped at 500 and ticket buyers are required to purchase a minimum of two tickets. Initially tickets will be sold by General Admission. Nearer to each event date, seats will be assigned based on permitted seating plans.

If seating capacity is expanded or increased at any time following this purchase due to government regulations or recommendation, the venue, at its sole discretion, will determine the validity of tickets. If tickets are unfullfillable, refunds will be issued at the time of such a decision and purchasers will be notified.

All safety regulations in place at the time of the performance will be upheld.
