On Sunday, December 1st, 2019 Cory Weeds and The Cellar Music Group took over The Shadbolt Center for the Arts in the beautiful city of Burnaby. The Shadbolt Jazz Walk featured eleven different groups, including a sizzling set by Chris Hazelton and the Jill Townsend Jazz Orchestra, a tribute to the late Cannonball Adderley with drummer Roy McCurdy and an unforgettable set by vocalist Lucy Yeghiazaryan. The vibe in the center was incredible with jazz fans rushing from one room to the next to catch as much music as they could, musicians mingling with each other and with the fans.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the 2020 Jazz Walk was cancelled and we have been working diligently on trying to come up with the next edition. We are very excited that with the help of FACTOR the Jazz Walk will morph into a mini jazz festival.
