Coquitlam’s seventh annual free arts festival returns Aug. 19 to 21

Aeriosa: Various times between 12 – 4 p.m.
Watch as Aeriosa tips the dance floor onto the vertical plane and into thin air to perform a breathtaking new work in partnership with a grove of Douglas fir trees at Blue Mountain Park.
Musical Perfomance: Two times between 1 – 4 p.m.
Yvonne Kushe is a Ugandan-Canadian singer-songwriter who brings her Ugandan heritage and global influences to create a unique blend of both worlds.
Interactive Plant Walks: Various times between 1 – 4 p.m.
T’uy’t’tanat Cease Wyss (Skwxwu7mesh, Sto:lo, Hawaiian, Swiss) is an educator, interdisciplinary artist and Indigenous ethnobotanist. Their work encompasses storytelling and collaborative initiatives through their knowledges and restoration of Indigenous plants and natural spaces.
Art Clubs:
Snap few photos in the Dogwood Photo Club photo booth or browse products from the Dogwood Designs Gift Shop.
Arts and Heritage:
Using string, beads, knots and more, add your own colourful connection to the community string art mural with the Art Gallery at Evergreen Cultural Centre, visit the Place des Arts interactive booth for fun art activities, or enjoy an art activity and exhibits in the Fraser Mills Train Station and the 1970s CP Rail Caboose with Coquitlam Heritage Society (offsite at Mackin House).
Family Fun
Experience an artful afternoon with live music, storytelling, cultural workshops and creative arts activities. Food vendors will also be on site.
