National Aboriginal Day Celebration June 21 is the summer solstice and longest day of the year. For generations, it is also a day that recognizes the traditions of Canada's First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities.

To celebrate, Bridgeview Community Centre and The Fraser Region Aboriginal Friendship Centre Association are hosting the first National Aboriginal Day event in Surrey.
There will be a variety of fun activities to recognize National Aboriginal Day!
- A free community BBQ from 4:00pm - 6:00pm
- Smudging demonstrations
- Face painting
- Traditional and cultural music for dancing
- Aboriginal story-telling in a Teepee
