VIAS Presents…Listen, Listen: Meredith Bates & Beau Wheeler with special guest Devours

Join Vancouver’s own Beau Wheeler and Meredith Bates in concert with special guest Devours. Staples of the Vancouver scene, Beau and Meredith will each be celebrating the release of their sophomore albums. Bates’ second release features soaring and spacious ambient electronic music for solo acoustic and processed violin with a through line of subtle crunchy restless grit. Wheeler, dubbed “one of Vancouver’s punchiest indie singers” by the Edmonton Sun is releasing their second album, Flying Colours. Equal parts pain and joy, the essential magic of Beau’s work lies in their unflinching ability to fearlessly open up and bring a room full of strangers together to share and heal from the vulnerabilities that we all feel. These two friends join forces for the night to take listeners on a sonic adventure, celebrating in their different music styles as they share their latest musical offerings.

Doors will open at 7:30pm and the first set of music will begin at 8pm. There will be a cash bar and snacks available before the show, during the short intermission, and after the show. Please join us for an artist talk at 7:30pm in the lobby and stay for a social time together after the music and dancing wraps up. (Stay tuned for afterparty deets!)
