While celebrating the region’s history and tradition, with the Cranberry Festival, we want to create a great day out, support local businesses and vendors, entertain and bring the community and visitors together in the heart of Fort Langley.
HISTORY
The Cranberry Fesitval is held each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
KEY FACTS
The Cranberry Festival was started in 1995 to celebrate the annual harvest and the history of the cranberry in the area and Fort Langley's earlier years.
Annual attendence is about 35,000 people. It continues to grow, promoting the community and supporting local business.
In agreement with the Fort Langley Business Improvement Assocation, the Eric Woodward Foundation assumed long-term stewardship of the Cranberry Festival in 2020.
The event is operated on a non-profit basis, and almost broke even in 2021.
Metro Vancouver’s Fort Langley Cranberry Festival is a free event with a market and family-friendly activities on the Thanksgiving Weekend in Fort Langley.
The 28th annual edition of the festival happens in 2023 on Saturday, October 7th. The event typically features a pancake breakfast, live entertainment, 100 market vendors and over a dozen food trucks.
