Canadian cellist Cameron Crozman, crowned “Canada’s next big cello star” by CBC Music joins the Bergmann Duo in a programme featuring a magnificent array of works for the cello and piano. Included in this morning concert will be the fiery Requiebros (Memories) by Spanish composer Gaspar Cassado, jazzy and atmospheric Blue Autumn by Marcel Bergmann, and the minimal contemplative Spiegel im Spiegel by Arvo Pärt. Featuring the popular social hour before the performance, this Coffee Concert is certain to chase away the January Blues!
About the Bergmann Duo
Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann have been performing together as a duo since 1989, and their dynamic and energetic performances of uniquely eclectic programs have inspired audiences for more than two decades. The duo, who are laureates of the Dranoff International Two Piano Competition, perform a wide variety of repertoire and styles, and enjoy dazzling audiences around the world at festivals and on tour. Their recitals and concerts with orchestras have taken them all over the world, including the United States, Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, and Canada.
About Cameron Crozman
Canadian cellist Cameron Crozman is making a name for himself both at home and internationally. Performing recitals and chamber music across Canada and the USA as well as over in Europe, his engagements have taken him to such world-renowned venues as the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, Berliner Philharmonie, Paris Philharmonie, Philadelphia's Mann Center, and Canada's National Arts Centre. As the recipient of the Canada Council Michael Measure’s prize, he was the featured soloist with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada during their 2012 tour of Canada and the USA. He has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras across Canada including the Montreal, Winnipeg, Quebec, Hamilton, and Vancouver Island Symphonies under the direction of conductors including Gemma New, Fabien Gabel, and Edwin Outwater. His performances have been broadcast on CBC/Radio-Canada, Radio France, Radio Classique, and Medici.tv.
