The Whistler Longboard Festival is a multi-day downhill skateboard event. Fans and competitors will witness top racers take on a world-class track as part of the International Downhill Federation's 2016 World Cup tour.

The main race will be held at the base of Blackcomb Mountain at the Whistler Sliding Centre with both local and International athletes competing. Participants and fans of all ages are guaranteed to enjoy the races and the post event celebrations held in the Village.
Skateboards rule at this summer festival where high speed freeride racing meets chilled out skate jams. Be in town for one of only two North American World Cups to catch world-class athletes bombing the famous Whistler Sliding Center road and stay to enjoy the after parties and get some chilled-out lake time. All skate events of the festival are open to spectators, charity partner Whistler Skateboard Association will be accepting admission by donation for the rejuvenation project of Whistler Skate Park.

Landyachtz World Cup Downhill Race
Date: Sunday, July 3 (Qualifiers Saturday, Race Sunday)
Location: Whistler Sliding Centre
Time: 9:00 - 5:00 PM
Description: The main race will be held at the base of Blackcomb Mountain at the Whistler Sliding Centre with both local and international competitors representing over 20 countries. Racers will face an elite course featuring 11 corners with 8 hairpin turns. With racing categories from Juniors to Masters to Mens and Womens, participants and fans of all ages are guaranteed to enjoy the races and the amazing after-party held in the village at Garfinkel's. Free parking available in Lot 8.
