Meena Pierotti is miserable at work. Her job as editor of American Cattle and Swine Magazine leaves bereft of purpose and continuously depressed. So desperate for a change, she enrolls in a drug trial for Thriveon, an experimental therapy that potentially could cure work place depression. Phil Gray is the doctor in charge conducting the trial and becomes smitten with Meena when he learns that she is a published poet. The two stumble their way into a promising, though against the rules loves affair. The experimental therapy starts to take effect and Meena’s passion for her work thrives. However, the more it does, the more complicated and dysfunctional their relationship becomes.
