Expect loud rocking music, flashing lights and the odd scary character walking around. You can also expect to be surrounded by people mostly between the ages of 15 and 30 while waiting in the lineups. Inside the venues expect lots of blood and bulging eyes, torture-chamber-like scenes, musty smells and wax-museum-calibre characters.

Cougar Creek’s Haunted Houses
In 2023 the haunts are “Echoes of Abbath” and “New Year’s Evil“. There is also the “Zycho Zerkus” carnival maze experience.

Echoes of Abbath
Echoes of Abbath features an underworld theme. Guests move through forest-themed decorations and come face to face with Abbath’s army.

New Year’s Evil
New Year’s Evil transports visitors to a motel in 1970. It’s snowing outside and dead bodies turn up as midnight approaches. There’s loud music and gory scenes in the hallways.

Zycho Zerkus
Brand new for 2022 was the Zycho Zerkus maze. It’s back in 2023 with its terrifying clowns and carnival theme.

Escape Room and New Sinneraria Maze
The Escape From Incineration is the escape room experience at Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors. Guests have to solve puzzles and riddles to escape within 20 minutes from a burning building.

New for 2023 is Sinneraria. It’s a blackout maze in which guests are blindfolded and guided by a single rope. There are tactile scares, meaning things will touch or brush against you.

All tickets to the Ultra-Scary Show include access to the two haunted houses and the Zycho Zerkus maze. However, the escape room and Sinneraria cost extra. Prices are the same for all ages.
