Returning to IndieFest after a sold out premiere, The Liminal is an immersive performance experience that gathers storytellers of diverse artistic disciplines and lived experiences to reflect on themes of transformation. Conceived and directed by multidisciplinary theatre artist Stephanie Wong in partnership with re:Naissance Opera and the Chinatown Storytelling Centre, and taking place at Notional Space, this evening features a collision of theatre, dance, music, digital media, food, and community.

This iteration of The Liminal invites new commissions to create portals to possible futures. In this immersive choose-your-own-adventure experience, audiences can nourish themselves on food and conversation, be transported to new worlds, and plant their own possibilities. This event is a dedicated space for change; it holds space for the familiar and unknown, and exists between the histories we are grown on, and the tomorrows we are dreaming of.

The Liminal is a vision of re:Naissance’s Associate Artistic Director Stephanie Wong, and features the following Artists:
Adonis Critter King, Ariane Custodio, Christian Ching, Dushun Wylson, Derek Chan, Kaili Che, Miguel Maravilla, Maiden China, and Tonye Aganaba.
