Do you need more colour in your life? Would you like to see colour through an artist's eyes? Or are you an artist looking to deepen your understanding of colour contrast?
This workshop provides a foundation in colour theory, with practical exercises to help you develop your knowledge and skills. Whether you prefer to work with structure or explore more independently, be prepared to get excited about colour!
Jennifer Pickering is a contemporary artist born in Switzerland, raised in BC, and now lives in West Vancouver. She holds a master’s degree in Studio Arts from UBC and is skilled in painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, installation, video, and new media, with a strong background in art theory and history. She has over 10 years of experience teaching children, youth, and adults. Jennifer is currently the owner, principal artist, and instructor at Crush of Colour, a West Vancouver based small business offering art classes for kids and adults. Jennifer is a participant of the Staying Curious exhibition in January 2024.
