Nuvo Zydeco delivers a live high-energy interactive musical experience. Zydeco, as a term, refers to both music and a style of dance that originated in the rural farming communities of southwest Louisiana in the 1940’s. Over the years it has evolved and grown to an international presence. Today Zydeco music has many flavors with young players adding new meaning and adapting the traditions of those that came before. NUVO ZYDECO is British Columbia’s only Zydeco band and delivers a uniquely Canadian perspective. Regardless of venue size from small rooms to festivals and beyond, the band is sure to get people smiling and out on the floor dancing.
