Lethal Lites Candles offers a customizable Candle Lab experience at Pacific Arts Market, where guests can choose custom fragrances and decorations to create their own personalized scented candles from start to finish.
Leah of Lethal Lites Candles will share her knowledge of candle making and decoration. As a candle crafting expert, she will walk you through the candle-making process, including how to:
Understanding Wax Characteristics and Choosing the Correct Wick for the Size of the Vessel:
Preparing the Vessel and Setting Wicks Based on the Size of the Container:
Understanding Fragrance Loads:
Exploring the Use of Color and Shimmery Mica (Optional): Using Colorants.
Measuring, Melting, and Maintaining the recommended pouring temperature range:
Correctly Pouring the Wax, Cooling and Curing: Please allow at least 1/2 hour for the cure to take effect.
Please bring 2 vintage or unique vessels ( 16-20oz total ) to pour your candle in. Examples include two teacups, 3 Japanese teacups, or two modern 8oz glass squares or tumblers. I can provide vessels to choose from for a small fee if you have nothing you love. Check out thrift stores or use the containers you have saved for a rainy day.
Once the wax starts to cure, you pick from my trays of pressed flowers and play with the layout on a sheet of paper.
The fee based on two candles is $80 per person, all supplies including various fragrances, access to my amazing hand-pressed flowers and my unique wax moulds. Class notes and FAQs can be emailed after class at your request.
