The text comes from poetry by English war poet, Wilfrid Owen interspersed throughout the traditional latin mass for the dead. Symphonic choir, children’s choir, orchestra and soloists will breathe life into this remarkable work. Conducted by Leslie Dale, Britten’s War Requiem resonates just as deeply today as it did when first performed in 1962.
We are grateful to be joined by the West Coast Symphony, Melody Courage, Asitha Tennekoon, Tyler Duncan and a children’s choir from the Vancouver Bach Family of Choirs.
